The "FULNESS" of CHRIST

Ephesians 4:13

King James Version

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith,

and of the knowledge of the Son of God,

unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature

of the fulness of Christ:

How does one come into the "fulness of Christ"?

Apostle Paul has this to say:

Colossians 2:6-14

King James Version

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord,

so walk ye in him:

7 Rooted and built up in him,

and stablished in the faith,

as ye have been taught,

abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you

through philosophy and vain deceit,

after the tradition of men,

after the rudiments of the world,

and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him,

which is the head of all principality and power:

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision

made without hands,

in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh

by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism,

wherein also ye are risen with him

through the faith of the operation of God,

who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins

and the uncircumcision of your flesh,

hath he quickened together with him,

having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances

that was against us,

which was contrary to us,

and took it out of the way,

nailing it to his cross;

The ROMANS 11:25 Context

The ROMANS 11:25 Context

Romans 11:25-27

King James Version

25 For I would not, brethren,

that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,

lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;

that blindness in part is happened to Israel,

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved:

as it is written,

There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,

and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them,

when I shall take away their sins.

To understand the passage better, I included a couple more verses above, to support the previous article.

My Bible teacher, Joseph, explains the "fulness" of the Gentiles:

"First, the setting of chapter 11 is God saying that the majority of Israel continue in their being blinded spiritually (stubborn, hardened hearts) to New Testament truth,  especially in believing Jesus and His Gospel message.

But ever since, God made sure that a remnant of true believers existed. All the prophets of the Old Testament are prime examples. All of them, without exception prophesied about Jesus as the one and only true Messiah!

Then comes verse 25. Your question is on target because this gives the conclusion of the chapter. The intent is for Gentiles  to know how Israel falls into place according to God’s plan of salvation. This is the mystery revealed to the Gentiles. Also, God’s love and promise is manifested for His Chosen People at this future time! I have no idea how their blindness will disappear and what will cause them to.

“Until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in” I believe, is the completion of conversion of every ELECTED non Jew. In other words, not all Gentiles will be saved but only those who are chosen.

Matthew 22:14 (KJV)

14 For many are called,

but few are chosen.

So, I believe that this prophecy will happen when this “fullness” will take place, when the last elected Gentile will be saved."

What a wonderful explanation! And that Matthew verse was so relevant, too!

And now, I look into Apostle Paul's chapter. I've included the verses the HOLY SPIRIT guided me to, so I may understand further.

As Joseph says, "you can't overdose on God's Word".

Now, I will let the chosen verses speak for themselves:

The beginning context.

Romans 11:1-3 (KJV)

11 I say then,

Hath God cast away his people

God forbid.

For I also am an Israelite,

of the seed of Abraham,

of the tribe of Benjamin.

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.

Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias?

how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,

3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets,

and digged down thine altars;

and I am left alone,

and they seek my life.

God answers Elias.

Romans 11:4 (KJV)

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him?

I have reserved to myself seven thousand men,

who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Apostle Paul confirms the "remnant".

Romans 11:5 (KJV)

5 Even so then at this present time also

there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

The "state" of Israel.

Romans 11:7 (KJV)

7 What then?

Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for;

but the election hath obtained it,

and the rest were blinded.

Which was prophesied.

Romans 11:8 (KJV)

8 (According as it is written,

God hath given them the spirit of slumber,

eyes that they should not see,

and ears that they should not hear;)

unto this day.

Paul's "revelation".

Romans 11:11 (KJV)

11 I say then,

Have they stumbled that they should fall?

God forbid:

but rather through their fall

salvation is come unto the Gentiles,

for to provoke them to jealousy.

The potential "fulness" of Israel.

Romans 11:12 (KJV)

12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world,

and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles;

how much more their fulness?

The mystery of Israel's salvation.

Romans 11:15 (KJV)

15 For if the casting away of them be

the reconciling of the world

what shall the receiving of them be,

but life from the dead?

Israel and God -- the "Holy One of Israel".

Romans 11:16 (KJV)

16 For if the firstfruit be holy,

the lump is also holy:

and if the root be holy,

so are the branches.

Gentiles as "wild olive tree".

Romans 11:17 (KJV)

17 And if some of the branches be broken off,

and thou,

being a wild olive tree

wert grafted in among them,

and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

God's gift to Gentiles and Israel.

Romans 11:19 (KJV)

19 Thou wilt say then,

The branches were broken off,

that I might be grafted in.

Why some Jews fell away.

Romans 11:20 (KJV)

20 Well;

because of unbelief they were broken off

and thou standest by faith.

Be not highminded,

but fear:

Paul's warning to proud Gentiles.

Romans 11:21-22 (KJV)

21 For if God spared not the natural branches,

take heed lest he also spare not thee.

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:

on them which fell, severity;

but toward thee, goodness,

if thou continue in his goodness:

otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Hope for Israel.

Romans 11:23 (KJV)

23 And they also,

if they abide not still in unbelief,

shall be grafted in:

for God is able to graft them in again.

The rightful heirs to God's plan of salvation.

Romans 11:24 (KJV)

24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature,

and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree:

 how much more shall these,

which be the natural branches,

be grafted into their own olive tree?

The "waiting" process.

Romans 11:25 (KJV)

25 For I would not, brethren,

that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,

lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;

that blindness in part is happened to Israel,

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Israel gets saved.

Romans 11:26-27 (KJV)

26 And so all Israel shall be saved

as it is written,

There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,

and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them,

when I shall take away their sins.

The mystery of salvation continues.

Romans 11:28 (KJV)

28 As concerning the gospel,

they are enemies for your sakes:

but as touching the election,

they are beloved for the father's sakes.

The paradox in salvation.

Romans 11:30-32 (KJV)

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God,

yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31 Even so have these also now not believed,

that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief,

that he might have mercy upon all.

Who can fathom it all?

Romans 11:33-36 (KJV)

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom

and knowledge of God!

how unsearchable are his judgments,

and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord?

or who hath been his counsellor?

35 Or who hath first given to him,

and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 For of him,

and through him,

and to him,

are all things:

to whom be glory for ever

Amen.

As Gentiles, we now see the role we play, towards Israel's salvation, and vice-versa.

It is a mystery, a paradox, a master plan of God, which only He could really fathom.

In the next article, apostle Paul explains how we can all come into the "fulness" of CHRIST.

What Does "FULNESS" in the BIBLE Mean?

Romans 11:25
King James Version

25 For I would not, brethren,

that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,

lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;

that blindness in part is happened to Israel,

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

That particular phrase -- "until the fulness* of the Gentiles be come in" -- has been on my mind for quite sometime now.

The verse plainly implies that the temporary "blindness" in Israel was by "design" from God, UNTIL the "fulness" of the Gentiles come in.

The Jews had been "purposely" kept in the dark, as I first shared in this article of 14 September 2019.

Why does this verse matter so much?

For me, it's simple.

Two things:

1. I'm a Gentile. What does it mean to come into "fulness"?

2. If Israel is God's CHOSEN nation, and it has been "purposely" blinded until we Gentiles come into "fulness", then can you imagine the timing and significance, and God's PLAN for all of us? How everything must be a "seamless" whole, and PERFECTION itself? I'm really just in AWE of GOD!

Thus, I find this one of the most EXCITING and REVEALING verses in the Bible.

And for this purpose, I better share with you the meaning of "fulness" in various contexts, from the following verses, as I need to understand it myself.

Here's what I found:

"FULNESS" of CHRIST

Ephesians 4:13 (KJV)

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith,

and of the knowledge of the Son of God,

unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature

of the fulness of Christ:

"FULNESS" of GOD

Ephesians 3:19 (KJV)

19 And to know the love of Christ,

which passeth knowledge,

that ye might be filled

with all the fulness of God.

"FULNESS" of the GODHEAD in CHRIST

Colossians 2:8-9 (KJV)

8 Beware lest any man spoil you

through philosophy and vain deceit,

after the tradition of men,

after the rudiments of the world,

and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

"FULNESS" of the time

Galatians 4:4 (KJV)

4 But when the fulness of the time was come

God sent forth his Son,

made of a woman,

made under the law,

From what I understand, the first three verses on the "FULNESS" of CHRIST, GOD, and the GODHEAD in CHRIST pertains to "totality".

The last verse on the "FULNESS" of time pertains to "ripeness".

I needed to know these various contexts so I get the Romans verse right.

The next article will reveal more of that very important Romans 11:25 verse, as I "consulted" my Bible teacher, Joseph, and the "Apostle of the Gentiles", Paul.

A baby Christian needs all the help she can get, through the GRACE and GUIDANCE of the HOLY SPIRIT, who was most patient with this slow learner.

*NOTE: I purposely retained the King James Version spelling of "fulness", in place of the modern-day "fullness".

ABC's of SALVATION by J.D. Farag

What is the "GOOD NEWS of SALVATION in JESUS CHRIST"?

J.D. Farag, the faithful servant of CHRIST, shares this verse:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

King James Version

15 Moreover, brethren,

I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you,

which also ye have received,

and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved,

if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you,

unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all

that which I also received,

how that Christ died for our sins

according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried,

and that he rose again the third day

according to the scriptures:

He simplified it for all of us, through this 4-minute VIDEO created two years ago.

Now, it has taken on great momentum, and people are catching on, in every part of the world.

According to pastor Farag:

"A" stands for "Admit you're a sinner."

Romans 3:10 (KJV)

10 As it is written,

There is none righteous,

no, not one:

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

23 For all have sinned,

and come short

of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 (KJV)

23 For the wages of sin is death;

but the gift of God is eternal life

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

"B" is for "Believe Jesus is Lord."

Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,

and shalt believe in thine heart that God

hath raised him from the dead,

thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;

and with the mouth confession is made

unto salvation.

"C" is for "Call upon His name."

Romans 10:13 (KJV)

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord

shall be saved.

On Micro and Macro Decisions

First, what is micro, and what is macro?

Simply explained:

"micro refers to small things and

macro refers to big things"

(Source: Writing Explained)

Best way to explain, is to enumerate a few.

Micro decisions:

What shall I eat?

What do I watch?

What clothes shall I wear?

Do I go to this event?

What will people think of me?

MACRO decisions:

Shall I ask her out?

Shall I go out with him?

What work shall I do?

What's the meaning of life?

What is TRUTH?

Micro decisions are small decisions that won't break, or make your life too much.

Sure, if you eat too much, or the wrong food, or go to the wrong event, you might feel sick. Sure, some illnesses end up long-term, so we have to be careful.

Or if you choose "inappropriate" clothes, for a supposed "appropriate" event, then people may shun you, and you may care what they think.

But MACRO decisions are life-changing.

If you ask the "right" or "wrong" person out, your life may change.

Because if you happen to really like them, you may just consider having them as a partner for life.

And you don't really know how people are, till you live with them, and that takes time.

There is romance, and then again, there is reality.

That being that, asking a person out, can be life-changing, especially if you go into relationships for the right reasons.

Hopefully, you both have the right reasons.

Work is also a MACRO decision.

If you care where your life and work will be headed, you'll really think about where you'll put your life juices in, for work can be noble, or it can be terrible.

Employers can be that, too.

Same with wages.

But if work is usually at least 1/3 of your daily life, you may want to really think about what work to do, for humans like to be happy.

Contentment is relative.

To each his own.

Asking about the meaning of life is surely a MACRO decision.

When you start asking, there may be no end to it.

In the asking, is the searching, the exploring, the hits, and misses.

In the asking, can lead you to joy, or catastrophe.

Paradoxically, what may seem joyful in the beginning, may bore you.

What may seem catastrophic, may actually turn out to be great.

How does one find out?

Only one way to find out.

Be in it.

And always, be gentle with yourself.

All of us are on the same boat, sometimes paddling, sometimes sleeping (for we all get tired paddling), sometimes finding ourselves in the midst of storms, or sometimes finding ourselves washed ashore.

And yes, some of us drown.

It's always a good idea, and a brave move, to ask about the meaning of life, for life will show you.

But, what is TRUTH?

Ah, now you're really on the boat!

Only thing is, you've got to have gone through the micro, and the MACRO, to get to this point.

For, by then, you're so tired of what people tell you, and nothing seems to work, or you're just demanding to know it all, and PLEASE, can you HAVE an ANSWER??!!

And by that, I mean you REALLY want to KNOW it all, without the attitude.

Now I've come to know TRUTH, only because I chose JESUS nearly 15 months ago.

It's GOD's TRUTH I chose.

I wanted to know EVERYTHING about GOD.

I was tired of the micro.

I wanted the MACRO.

And in that choosing, the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD started teaching me about Jesus.

As an example, He woke me up early today, inspiring me to write this piece.

I prayed for His will, and before that prayer was finished, the LORD inspired me with this article to develop.

I got all excited to do so.

The article is God's; it's not mine.

I merely serve the LORD.

The article practically wrote itself, seamlessly, effortlessly.

That's how it is to work for God.

That's how it is to listen to the Holy Spirit.

That's how it is to follow and BELIEVE in Jesus.

To further support the idea of this article, God led me back to a wonderful story I like on Martha and Mary (also two "M" -- God has humor, and precision, just so you know):

Luke 10:38-42

King James Version

38 Now it came to pass,

as they went,

that he entered into a certain village:

and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary,

which also sat at Jesus' feet,

and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving,

and came to him,

and said,

Lord,

dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?

bid her therefore that she help me.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her,

Martha, Martha,

thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42 But one thing is needful:

and Mary hath chosen that good part,

which shall not be taken away from her.

Micro and MACRO.

Martha and MARY.

Pretty easy to remember.

That's how GOD teaches me, for I, too, like humor, and precision.

And this is what I came to know about God:

GOD likes your COMPLETE attention.

2 Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

Colossians 3:2

King James Version

Thus, my decisions come pretty easily, each day.

God will work with who you are, what you are, what you have in your heart, what you're destined for, or what your "calling" may be.

He did CREATE you.

Our complete attention to His WILL and WORD, are gifts back to the LORD.

FOCUS on GOD.

It's the BEST decision you'll EVER make.

God will know what to do with everything you've got in your heart.

Ask Him ALL the questions.

He'll never tire of your curiosity.

But He will tire of your disobedience.

When you've come to know things about God, you will not want to be disobedient anyway.

Take that FIRST step.

Commit to know EVERYTHING about God.

Watch what happens.

My work honoring the LORD's Words are testimony of all that.

FOCUSING on GOD Alone

I thought to myself, what would I do if today was my last day on earth.

I figured, it had to be something important.

So I prayed to God to please guide me.

As always, before I've even explored the idea in full, but merely asked the question, an answer was waiting.

I was to do what I originally wanted to do, which was to create a NEW blog, totally devoted to loving, praising, and honoring GOD, for such devotion and gratitude was long overdue our LORD.

Jesus did say:

37 Jesus said unto him,

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God

with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul,

and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first

and great commandment.

Matthew 22:37-40

King James Version

It just followed I ought to honor God with all my heart, more than ever.

(Of course, God led me to create another blog, which was of great importance, too, for it pertained to His chosen people.)

We're all so caught up in the world, with its temptations, and distractions, always setting aside God, thinking the world mattered, when all that mattered was God.

For two days now, I had been thinking about that word "distraction".

At how the world continue to revolve around it.

And at how they still don't see the importance of the end times, wherein JESUS can return at any time, and take up His faithful.

The signs were all there.

More and more the urgency for us to praise God grew, as the world steeps in confusion, manipulation, corruption, greed, and vanity.

I wrote about how Jesus prophesied all that.

When the Holy Spirit of God inspires me to create, the creation becomes easy.

In no time at all, I was able to create two timely blogs, a week from each other.

Please welcome these blogs that are of VITAL importance to the world right now:

A Day in the LIFE of a BELIEVER

I believe in Jesus with all my heart.

I believe He is the SON of GOD.

I believe He suffered for us, was crucified, died, was buried, and rose on the THIRD day.

I believe He will RETURN at a time only known to the FATHER.

And thus, we all have to be ready for the Lord -- at ALL times.

We have to have repented, become born-again Christians, and offer our life to the LORD.

Only then will the Spirit of God teach us EVERYTHING about JESUS.

Every day that I study verses from Scripture, really trying to find out EVERYTHING about God, the more understanding is given.

It is the only way I could create blogs, and write the posts, which I share with all of you most every day.

But I am just a child, knowing nothing, but believing EVERYTHING the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD tells me, as He guides me each day as a "workman".

Well, THREE magnificent things happened early this morning:

1. I thought of these DECLARATIONS from JESUS, which had been in my heart for sometime now.

2. I was led by the Holy Spirit of God to a couple of IMPORTANT verses spoken by JESUS about Israel.

3. I was tasked to feature those verses, and in the process, the Holy Spirit led me back to an article I wrote last year, as I was just into my 8th day as a born-again Christian.

The AMAZING thing is that those three things were CONNECTED to each other, about WHEN Jesus will show up in Israel again, and why the Jews are non-believers.

What an AMAZING find for me!

What I really want you to know is that when you LOVE God with all your heart, or are sincere in wanting to know EVERYTHING about Him, He will make sure you do, through JESUS and His Holy Spirit.

Why is Israel so important in these end times?

That's the next step God wants me to explore.

For now, it's time to re-assess your relationship with God.

Search your heart.

How can we not LOVE and HONOR the CREATOR?

How can we not be grateful for the LIFE given?

How can we not acknowledge His GIFT of His SON, Jesus?

How can we not want to know the FACTS about JESUS?

How can we not acknowledge the LOVE, OBEDIENCE, and SACRIFICE of JESUS?

Very strange, indeed.

On Seeing the TRUTH of the World

19 And we know that we are of God,

and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

1 John 5:19

King James Version

A remarkable thing happens, when you have embraced JESUS in full.

You are no longer a fool.

You see the world for what it is.

You see who runs it.

You see the suffering of others.

You pray for greater understanding, that you be used for God's purpose alone.

It's all a progression in spiritual knowledge, the only knowledge that matters now, more than ever.

All other knowledge belongs to the world.

A true Christian follows JESUS, the "man of sorrows".

3 He is despised and rejected of men

a man of sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from him;

he was despised,

and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah 53:3

King James Version

When you truly love God, you wish to be obedient to Him.

You want to know:

what pleases Him

what makes Him angry

what He wants you to do.

All those questions of mine, have been answered, by the ONLY reliable reference we are to count on in these end times -- SCRIPTURE.

You will know if you are a true follower of Christ, when self disappears.

30 He must increase,

but I must decrease.

John 3:30

King James Version

There is no more longing for the things of the world, because the material has never been the spiritual.

There is even no panic, nor grief, when self disappears, for all that's left is CHRIST.

He becomes your Good Shepherd.

The One who leads all who have gone astray.

The One who will look for that one person lost, even as the rest of the 99 from the flock are safe.

And when that happens, heaven and the presence of the angels of God rejoice, over one sinner that "repenteth".

What is the truth of the world, after all, but that it belongs to satan.

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded

the minds of them which believe not

lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,

who is the image of God,

should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4:4

King James Version

If you are God's own, you will have nothing to do with the world, even as you are living, breathing, and working on earth.

You cannot be bought, you cannot be swayed, and the riches of the world don't impress you, for those are temporary.

You don't find glitter, or fascination, in the positions, prestige, and promises of men.

"All is vanity."

All is "vexation of spirit".

14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun;

and, behold,

all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Ecclesiastes 1:14

King James Version

Only Jesus can satisfy the thirst of your soul.

When Jesus comes to take His faithful, to join those who have gone on ahead of us, and to make war with the world, you will want to be following Him, with the promise of eternal life.

This life we have in the world, is but a moment, and here's what can happen, in the blink of an eye, at ANY time God chooses to:

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,

that we which are alive and remain

unto the coming

of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

King James Version

Now, you can see that what we have on earth, is as nothing to the LORD.

The only LIGHT and GUIDE we must seek is CHRIST, the TRUE MEDIATOR of GOD.

Our only hope is in JESUS.

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:
and this is the victory that overcometh the world,
even our faith.
1 John 5:4
King James Version

Interestingly (but I am not surprised, for it has been happening for some time now), Bible Gateway's "Verse of the Day" confirms how Jesus answered my prayer this morning, about seeing -- through spiritual eyes -- the true suffering of others:

2 Bear ye one another's burdens,
and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
King James Version

Jesus answers my prayer, before I've even finished mouthing the prayer -- leading me to immediately write an article, such as the one you're reading now.

Last of all, the Holy SPIRIT of God led me to this verse, so we may know what to focus on, in these most determining times:

2 Set your affection on things above
not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:2
