The Promises of Jesus

11 For the Son of man is come
to save that which was lost.

Matthew 18:11
King James Version

Those were Jesus' words to His disciples.

That means, we, the lost, have got hope.

Jesus came to the world to save the lost ones.

That's why He spoke in parables, so we may understand His teachings.

Those who are not hard of heart, nor hearing, invite the Holy SPIRIT of God to teach them.

Those who are not "wise to the world" happily make room for Christ in their hearts.

There's a beautiful section in the Bible, even as it was during the crucifixion of Christ.

One "malefactor" was nailed to the cross, and listen to what he asks of Jesus, even as his other companion grumbled and challenged the LORDship of Jesus:

42 And he said unto Jesus,
Lord,
remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:42-43
King James Version

That's the promise of JESUS.

That we shall enter His kingdom, if we believe in Him.

And that's also what He likes.

That we believe in Him, that we humble ourselves before Him -- as He has humbled Himself before the FATHER.

But we have to have the heart of a child, believing and trusting in God completely.

Only through such humility, such eagerness to know the words of Christ, can we have a chance of being with Him for eternity.

Look what He tells His disciples:

3 And said,
Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:3
King James Version

Jesus is the "door" of the sheep.

We are the sheep.

Listen to His Promises:

9 I am the door:
by me if any man enter in,
he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out,
and find pasture.

John 10:9
King James Version

God was very clear about His Son's purpose on earth.

Let Jesus tell you Himself:

17 For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:17
King James Version

What more would it take for us to give our lives to the LORD, when He has given His life for us -- that we may all be saved?

We may have fallen, and gotten up, and fallen again, but if we give our heart to the LORD, we will be instructed by the Holy SPIRIT, and we will live right.

We will live by Scripture.

Jesus waits for such followers.

Are you such a follower?
