RESPONSIBILITY towards CHRIST

JESUS declared:

John 14:21

King James Version

21 He that hath my commandments,

and keepeth them,

he it is that loveth me:

and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father,

and I will love him,

and will manifest myself to him.

CHRIST died for us on the cross.

He rose on the third day.

It is love, like no other.

How must we respond?

What is expected of us?

Here's what Scripture says:

2 Corinthians 5:9-10

King James Version

9 Wherefore we labour, that,

whether present or absent,

we may be accepted of him.

10 For we must all appear

before the judgment seat of Christ;

that every one may receive the things done in his body,

according to that he hath done,

whether it be good or bad.

2 Corinthians 5:11

King James Version

11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord,

we persuade men;

but we are made manifest unto God;

and I trust also are made manifest

in your consciences.

2 Corinthians 5:15

King James Version

15 And that he died for all,

that they which live

should not henceforth live unto themselves,

but unto him which died for them,

and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:20-21

King James Version

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ,

as though God did beseech you by us:

we pray you in Christ's stead,

be ye reconciled to God.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us,

who knew no sin;

that we might be made

the righteousness of God in him.

In SUMMARY, our responsibility towards CHRIST means:

we labor, that "we may be accepted of him"

"we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ"

in fear of the Lord, "we persuade men"

we who live, do not live for ourselves, "but unto him which died" for us, and "rose again"

"we are ambassadors for Christ"

we are to be "reconciled to God"
