The TRUTH of the MATTER

Isaiah 64:6

King James Version

6 But we are all as an unclean thing,

and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;

and we all do fade as a leaf;

and our iniquities, like the wind,

have taken us away.

How impermanent our lives are!

And how we all take ourselves too seriously.

How we all want to outlive, and outdo each other.

How we all think our face, form, and fame will do the trick.

How we all try to have smart homes, when we are not so "smart".

How we want to be immaculate on the outside, when our insides are putrid, and impure.

Yes, we present a seemingly pure, perfect, and pristine image to the world.

We glorify in our brains, brawns, and "bonds".

And yet GOD knows how we really are.

That is the reality we cannot escape from.

There's no hiding from GOD, you see.

He knows our very heart, our very insides, our very thoughts, words, motives, and actions.

Genesis 6:5-6

King James Version

5 And God saw

that the wickedness of man

was great in the earth,

and that every imagination

of the thoughts of his heart

was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord

that he had made man on the earth,

and it grieved him at his heart.

Romans 3:9

King James Version

9 What then? are we better than they?

No, in no wise: for we have before proved

both Jews and Gentiles,

that they are all under sin;

Romans 3:10-12

King James Version

10 As it is written,

There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth,

there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way,

they are together become unprofitable;

there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:23

King James Version

23 For all have sinned,

and come short of the glory of God;

We can do all the polishing, and public relations we want, but there's no hiding from the truth:

"But we are all as an unclean thing,

and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;

and we all do fade as a leaf;"

This is not to demean, or demoralize us.

It just is -- the TRUTH of the MATTER.

We are all a sinful bunch.

With no real LOVE for GOD.

If we did, this would not have happened:

1 Corinthians 2:7-8

King James Version

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,

even the hidden wisdom,

which God ordained before the world

unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew:

for had they known it, they would not

have crucified the Lord of glory.

Just so we know, our breath is but a vapor.

James 4:14

King James Version

14 Whereas ye know not

what shall be on the morrow.

For what is your life?

It is even a vapour,

that appeareth for a little time,

and then vanisheth away.

And yet there's One kind that lasts, which the LORD JESUS commands we be guided from:

John 3:6-8

King James Version

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth,

and thou hearest the sound thereof,

but canst not tell whence it cometh,

and whither it goeth:

so is every one

that is born of the Spirit.

And in that very SPIRIT is LIBERTY.

2 Corinthians 3:17

King James Version

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:

and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is liberty.

Having been taught by the HOLY SPIRIT for nearly seven years now, this born again watchman/workman will never again go back to her old ways.

1 Corinthians 9:27

King James Version

27 But I keep under my body,

and bring it into subjection:

lest that by any means,

when I have preached to others,

I myself should be a castaway.

2 Corinthians 5:17

King James Version

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ,

he is a new creature:

old things are passed away;

behold, all things are become new.

Galatians 5:1

King James Version

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty

wherewith Christ hath made us free,

and be not entangled again

with the yoke of bondage.

Let us forsake sin.

Let us repent before the LORD.

Let us know GOD's will, ways, and wisdom.

Never again must we be in the enemy's clutches.

"Be PURE for the LORD now.

Be HOLY in your ways.

Be PERFECT for GOD.

Be BORN AGAIN now."

-- "The REAL target"

Why?

"That SPIRIT may dwell in you.

The Rapture is imminent.

After which, the Tribulation will occur."

-- "The REAL target"

You cannot trust man.

Man's TRUE nature

You cannot trust the world.

KNOW the world

But you can trust JESUS.

PEACE through JESUS

He, alone, gives us the PEACE, and knowledge, we all seek.

He is our PATH to GOD:

John 14:6-7

King James Version

6 Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me,

ye should have known my Father also:

and from henceforth ye know him,

and have seen him.

JESUS is our ONLY SOURCE of TRUTH, PEACE, JOY, JUSTICE, and FREEDOM.

John 8:36

King James Version

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free,

ye shall be free indeed.

BREATH in man

James 1:17

King James Version

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift

is from above, and cometh down

from the Father of lights,

with whom is no variableness,

neither shadow of turning.

WELCOME to this third article in the "BREATH of GOD" series!

Now, we look into the breath of life given man.

Who gave this breath of life?

What is man to do with it?

How is he to use it?

Here's where SPIRIT, and Scripture led us:

Job 27:3-4

King James Version

3 All the while my breath is in me,

and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

4 My lips shall not speak wickedness,

nor my tongue utter deceit.

Job 33:4

King James Version

4 The spirit of God hath made me,

and the breath of the Almighty

hath given me life.

Job 34:14-15

King James Version

14 If he set his heart upon man,

if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

15 All flesh shall perish together,

and man shall turn again unto dust.

Psalm 150:6

King James Version

6 Let every thing that hath breath

praise the Lord.

Praise ye the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

King James Version

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:

and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Isaiah 2:22

King James Version

22 Cease ye from man,

whose breath is in his nostrils:

for wherein is he to be accounted of ?

Isaiah 40:7-8

King James Version

7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:

because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it:

surely the people is grass.

8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:

but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

James 4:14

King James Version

14 Whereas ye know not

what shall be on the morrow.

For what is your life?

It is even a vapour,

that appeareth for a little time,

and then vanisheth away.

FIRST church SERVICE

 1 Corinthians 1:9

King James Version

9 God is faithful,

by whom ye were called

unto the fellowship of his Son

Jesus Christ our Lord.

GOD sounded the "bell".

Just one church bell ring, from a church below, and I "heard" it.

This, as I was brushing my teeth yesterday morning.

I immediately wanted to go to "church", but to a church in town.

Back to that simple, homey church I once visited, but was late for the service.

I've been born again nearly six years now, but never visited a born again church.

Only because I wanted to make sure SPIRIT led me to a church GOD approves of.

Well, that bell sounded, and I heeded the call.

I immediately dressed, and practically ran out of the house, commuted, and walked briskly by the side of the scenic park, where boaters donned life jackets, as they traversed the lake.

In times past, we never had such vests; we merely rowed, using the heavy, wooden oars -- one of which my child's hands dropped -- looked around, hoping no one saw it.

The oars must have been heavy alright, for it was not seen again.

Did people realize they needed JESUS' life-saving vest, for the storms to come?

But yesterday, all I could think of was getting to church fast.

No way was I going to be late again.

As it turned out, I was 30 minutes early, giving me time to get to know the pastor, and his wife.

As always, SPIRIT was right.

He brought me to the right place,

at the right time, with the right people.

Lately, the pastor had been talking about the end times.

In fact, this was going to be his third talk on it.

As GOD would have it, my path was in tune with the pastor's path.

JESUS had alerted me to the end times on 14 January 2020, when He led me to a verse on the Rapture.

Like the bell that called to me yesterday, this was the particular verse that "called" to me in 2020:

Matthew 24:40

King James Version

40 Then shall two be in the field;

the one shall be taken, and the other left.

That pretty much explained the Rapture for me then, owing to the Tim LaHaye "Left Behind" book I read once:

Interestingly, SPIRIT led me to the fact that book is celebrating its 25th anniversary this August.

The church He led me to will also be celebrating their 25th anniversary this December.

And I look to my "Scripture Numerics" book and discover the number 25 refers to "THE FORGIVENESS of SINS".

Well, today is the day for repentance.

JESUS warned us of the urgency of times:

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye, and believe the gospel.

It also reminds me of commemorating wedding anniversaries, wherein the 25th pertains to "silver".

What does the Bible say about "silver"?

Psalm 12:6

King James Version

6 The words of the Lord are pure words:

as silver tried in a furnace of earth,

purified seven times.

From a single bell, to a born again church, to the end times, to the Rapture, to silver anniversaries, to Scripture on "silver".

That's the way the HOLY SPIRIT has been working in me, and through me.

That's why I'm enjoying my personal journey, despite its many early pitfalls.

All because GOD made me born again, and gave His SPIRIT to teach me.

Oh, and did I tell you that the church's songs were simple, heartfelt, and lovely?

And that one particular song -- just on JESUS -- brought tears to my eyes?

That the pastor and his wife prayed over me, welcoming me to their church?

That his wife, and a missionary, prayed over me again, as I said goodbye after the service?

That SPIRIT is now expanding this writing ministry we have?

And all because GOD made me born again six years ago.

My life has changed radically -- all for good.

Things of the world have been dropped.

Only a sincere love for CHRIST, and for others, remain.

Which SPIRIT continues to fine-tune each day.

I have so much more to learn, biblically.

I am no match for pastors who have been at it for decades.

But this much I know --

May your heart be childlike, open, and humble.

Pray to JESUS to make you born again.

Wait for GOD's call, for it will come.

SPIRIT will guide you what to do.

All for the GLORY of GOD.

And in JESUS' Name.

Amen.

The THREE Nazarites

 Exodus 32:29

King James Version

29 For Moses had said,

Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord,

even every man upon his son,

and upon his brother;

that he may bestow upon you

a blessing this day.

The Old Testament spoke of THREE Nazarites.

Each with his own power.

Each with his own task.

Each chosen, for GOD's purpose.

What is a "Nazarite"?

What are his traits?

What is he tasked with?

JESUS was a "Nazarene", but He was not a "Nazarite".

Matthew 2:23

King James Version

23 And he came and dwelt

in a city called Nazareth:

that it might be fulfilled

which was spoken by the prophets,

He shall be called a Nazarene.

The LORD was a "pattern" all His own.

The Nazarites were meant to serve the HOLY Nazarene.

For purposes of this post, we shall look into the "Nazarite".

SPIRIT and Scripture will teach us what a "Nazarite" is.

Through verses describing THREE such Nazarites.

Here's a brief description of their beginnings.

And the circumstances of their birth.

As well as GOD's purpose for them:

On SAMSON:

Judges 13:1-14

King James Version

13 And the children of Israel did evil again

in the sight of the Lord;

and the Lord delivered them

into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

2 And there was a certain man of Zorah,

of the family of the Danites

whose name was Manoah;

and his wife was barren, and bare not.

3 And the angel of the Lord

appeared unto the woman,

and said unto her,

Behold now,

thou art barren, and bearest not:

but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

4 Now therefore beware,

I pray thee,

and drink not wine nor strong drink,

and eat not any unclean thing:

5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son;

and no razor shall come on his head:

for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God

from the womb:

and he shall begin to deliver Israel

out of the hand of the Philistines.

6 Then the woman came and told her husband,

saying,

A man of God came unto me,

and his countenance was like the countenance

of an angel of God, very terrible:

but I asked him not whence he was,

neither told he me his name:

7 But he said unto me,

Behold,

thou shalt conceive,

and bear a son;

and now drink no wine nor strong drink,

neither eat any unclean thing:

for the child shall be a Nazarite to God

from the womb to the day of his death.

8 Then Manoah intreated the Lord, and said,

O my Lord,

let the man of God which thou didst send

come again unto us,

and teach us what we shall do

unto the child that shall be born.

9 And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah;

and the angel of God came again unto the woman

as she sat in the field:

but Manoah her husband was not with her.

10 And the woman made haste, and ran,

and shewed her husband, and said unto him,

Behold, the man hath appeared unto me,

that came unto me the other day.

11 And Manoah arose, and went after his wife,

and came to the man, and said unto him,

Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman?

And he said, I am.

12 And Manoah said,

Now let thy words come to pass.

How shall we order the child,

and how shall we do unto him?

13 And the angel of the Lord said unto Manoah,

Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

14 She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine,

neither let her drink wine or strong drink,

nor eat any unclean thing:

all that I commanded her let her observe.

On SAMUEL:

1 Samuel 1:1-11

King James Version

1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim,

of mount Ephraim,

and his name was Elkanah,

the son of Jeroham,

the son of Elihu,

the son of Tohu,

the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:

2 And he had two wives;

the name of the one was Hannah,

and the name of the other Peninnah:

and Peninnah had children,

but Hannah had no children.

3 And this man went up out of his city yearly

to worship and to sacrifice

unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh.

And the two sons of Eli,

Hophni and Phinehas,

the priests of the Lord, were there.

4 And when the time was that Elkanah offered,

he gave to Peninnah his wife,

and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:

5 But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion;

for he loved Hannah:

but the Lord had shut up her womb.

6 And her adversary also provoked her sore,

for to make her fret,

because the Lord had shut up her womb.

7 And as he did so year by year,

when she went up to the house of the Lord,

so she provoked her;

therefore she wept, and did not eat.

8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her,

Hannah, why weepest thou?

and why eatest thou not?

and why is thy heart grieved?

am not I better to thee than ten sons?

9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh,

and after they had drunk.

Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat

by a post of the temple of the Lord.

10 And she was in bitterness of soul,

and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.

11 And she vowed a vow, and said,

O Lord of hosts,

if thou wilt indeed look

on the affliction of thine handmaid,

and remember me,

and not forget thine handmaid,

but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child,

then I will give him unto the Lord

all the days of his life,

and there shall no razor come

upon his head.

On JOHN the BAPTIST:

Luke 1:5-17

King James Version

5 There was in the days of Herod,

the king of Judaea,

a certain priest named Zacharias,

of the course of Abia:

and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron

and her name was Elisabeth.

6 And they were both righteous before God,

walking in all the commandments

and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

7 And they had no child,

because that Elisabeth was barren,

and they both were now well stricken in years.

8 And it came to pass,

that while he executed the priest's office before God

in the order of his course,

9 According to the custom of the priest's office,

his lot was to burn incense

when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 And the whole multitude of the people

were praying without at the time of incense.

11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord

standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

12 And when Zacharias saw him,

he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 But the angel said unto him,

Fear not, Zacharias:

for thy prayer is heard;

and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son,

and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness;

and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord,

and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink;

and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost,

even from his mother's womb.

16 And many of the children of Israel

shall he turn to the Lord their God.

17 And he shall go before him

in the spirit and power of Elias,

to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,

and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just;

to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Noticed anything?

Especially about their mothers?

They were all "barren".

Unable to have a child.

Much less, a son.

But GOD took mercy upon them.

And gave them the child they so dearly desired.

Through an announcement from TWO angels of the LORD.

And one priest, who overheard the mother's prayer.

GOD gifted them with sons.

One strong man, and the other two, prophets.

Which were all meant to serve Him.

These sons were born for a purpose.

But first, the distinct traits of a Nazarite.

Even of the mothers chosen:

Judges 13:3-5

King James Version

3 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

1 Samuel 1:11

King James Version

11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

Luke 1:15

King James Version

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

No wine, or strong drink.

No food from an unclean thing.

No razor shall pass upon the head.

Filled with the "Holy Ghost".

Consecrated for GOD's purpose -- from the womb, to death.

Those were the traits GOD instituted upon a "Nazarite".

Whom GOD takes mercy upon, He gifts with a son.

Whom GOD has a purpose for, He lays down the rules.

Whom GOD appoints to save Israel, He chooses, and prepares.

Such are the THREE Nazarites.

Samson, Samuel, and John the Baptist.

Anointed by GOD, for His perfect purpose.

With important tasks to fulfill, for the prophesied MESSIAH.

Consecrated to GOD, for His magnificent purpose.

All meant for holiness.

SEARCH for AUTHENTICITY

JESUS prays to GOD

John 17:16-17

King James Version

16 They are not of the world,

even as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth:

thy word is truth.

It is good to remain independent of the world.

To not be caught up in the things of the world.

To not accept man's word as gospel.

To not be beholden to trends, or trendsetters.

To remain faithful to the conscience in you.

To remain vigilant that you do not fall into wrong ways.

To not "do, as the Romans do".

All these, I kept close to my heart.

Even when I was not yet born again before.

Making sure the world was not in me.

Even as I was in the world.

Somehow, "something" guided me.

Was it conscience?

Was it GOD?

Was it belief, in something real?

I didn't know it then.

I just knew I was ALWAYS searching for AUTHENTICITY.

For something I can really believe in.

For absolute truth I can latch on to.

For something "definite".

I could never live a fake existence.

Everything had to be true, and real, for me.

And I'm glad I held on.

No matter what the world presented.

No matter its many seductions.

With all its ads, glitter, and false promises.

I simply could not succumb.

Neither was I envious of those who lived a high life.

I could never imagine myself living such a life.

It felt like a lie.

While many were in poverty, I simply can't.

Face, fame, fortune failed to entice me.

Personal ambition failed to seduce me.

I was always weighing the "costs".

At what cost, success?

At what cost, fame?

At what cost, fortune?

Can you turn your back on who you are?

To become who you wanted to be?

I always knew it would cost something.

Things of the world were temporary.

It was dangerous getting caught up in it.

And self was all I've got then.

I could never follow blindly.

I had too many questions of my own.

"Something" always offered a healthy dose of perspective.

Saving me from neuroses, ambition, and desire for competition.

You may look good, but someone else will always look better.

You may be famous, but someone else will always be more famous.

You may be rich, but someone else will always be richer.

Those things held things in check for me.

They gave me the proper perspective.

It was a good set of brakes to have.

I had no idea those "brakes" were the SPIRIT of GOD.

Who looked upon the children of men.

To see who cared to look deeper.

To see who cared to look beyond self.

To see who cared to endure all forms of temptation.

And turn their backs on such enticements.

While searching for something true, real, and lasting.

Psalm 14:2

King James Version

2 The Lord looked down from heaven

upon the children of men,

to see if there were any that did understand,

and seek God.

Surely, GOD knew how I was searching for Him, for the longest time.

Surely, He knew how I could never conform to the world.

Surely, He knew how I tried to figure out self.

Thus, this blog you're reading now.

We became archaeologist of the soul.

With the premise being, if I am to figure out the world, I must figure out self -- first.

It's all about authenticity.

Being true.

Being real.

Being me.

Who was I?

What was I made of?

Where am I going?

What is the path to take?

Who offers real truth?

What can I really believe in?

What is my purpose on earth?

What work should I be doing?

What should I be focusing on?

Who can I trust?

Whose words held "weight"?

On, and on, the questions grew.

GOD knew I was tenacious, but never tentative.

He knew I was persistent, but never a pest.

He knew I was faithful to self, but never obsessed with self.

He knew I was trying to figure things out on my own.

He knew I was childlike with Him, but always respectful.

He knew I'd come around, when He makes me born again.

He knew I would embrace SPIRIT, Who will teach me ALL things.

There was no way I could figure things out on my own.

My ONLY success was in NOT selling out to the world.

Not for any price.

Not for any cost.

Not at the cost of my soul.

Of course, life became a struggle, because I wouldn't give in.

My late father taught me well.

He lived, what he taught.

What a legacy!

That's what GOD looks for.

A certain faithfulness to truth.

No matter if you're not aware of what it is yet.

Not everyone's born again right away.

Not everyone gets to know JESUS right away.

Not everyone understands Scripture right way.

Not everyone gets saved right away.

Life is a process of finding out.

GOD keeps an eye on children who don't sell out.

Who keep at it, no matter the travails.

Who keep at it, no matter how long it takes.

Who can stand by their principles, no matter if they stood alone.

Do you have the courage to stand by what your parents taught you?

Even if the whole world ganged up on you?

And mocked your old-fashioned principles?

By the GRACE of GOD, I was such a person.

Predestined to belong to CHRIST.

He had a job for me to do.

All that struggle had a purpose.

By no means was it an easy task.

It was long, painful, and painstaking.

The process was not for the impatient.

It was not for those who desired shortcuts.

And yet, my life was quite an adventure, too!

An adventure in learning, and making the lessons stick.

With great potential to pass on all you've learned.

That's why my life was more polka-dotted than others' lives.

Where others seemed neat, and orderly, mine seemed chaotic.

Where others seemed "cut out", mine was largely "experimental".

Where others bought into the system, I simply couldn't.

Once you're in the "system", it will be hard to see outside of it.

You will be sucked into the system.

Many are not aware they've bought into it.

They go about it, thinking that's all there is to life.

Marriage, children, retirement.

Success, wealth, philanthropy.

Family, friends, feasts.

Youth, middle age, old age.

First home, big home, retirement home.

(And yes, tax deductions, and tax havens.)

What a limited existence that is.

As people eventually find out.

And yet, there's a part of you that feels there's more.

An inner knowing that refuses to be doused.

Why else have many gone into the boondocks?

Why else have many gone into other religions?

Why else have many gone into various practices, and such?

They're searching for something real.

For something authentic.

For something they can believe in.

For something they can live with.

For something they can give their life to.

Have you found it?

I've found mine, through CHRIST.

As born again.

As a true child of GOD.

As a faithful servant to the LORD.

As a person with no more excuses to sin.

This was the path I took:

John 14:6

King James Version

6 Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

2 Corinthians 4:18

King James Version

18 While we look not at the things which are seen,

but at the things which are not seen:

for the things which are seen are temporal;

but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Philippians 4:8

King James Version

8 Finally, brethren,

whatsoever things are true,

whatsoever things are honest,

whatsoever things are just,

whatsoever things are pure,

whatsoever things are lovely,

whatsoever things are of good report;

if there be any virtue,

and if there be any praise,

think on these things.

Colossians 3:1-2

King James Version

3 If ye then be risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

James 1:27

King James Version

27 Pure religion and undefiled

before God and the Father is this,

To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,

and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

JESUS is the answer to ALL my questions on AUTHENTICITY.

No one could be more AUTHENTIC.

Colossians 2:9

King James Version

9 For in him dwelleth

all the fulness of the Godhead

bodily.
